The high luminance of the installation MONUMENTING is at the same time attractive and disturbing. It decentralizing the spectators view and puts attention to the context; the envelope and the environment.
Unlike usual monuments, which are out of heavy stones or metal, the idea of MONUMENTING is to be light and flexible to be able to travel and adapt to various other places than Donetsk. What it leaves behind, once it has been deinstalled, is the rememberer and the afterimage projected in the respective space. In a way this counter-monument is always an hommage to the specific site.
