Thirteen artists from Berlin and Basel participated in the project BBS (Basel-Berlin-Sarnen) where they worked for two weeks in the ancient arsenal on Landenberg in Sarnen Switzerland.

The installation ZONE by Florine Leoni and Sylvain Baumann is based on historical research of the arsenal and enters into a dialog with the exhibition space and its architecture. The work evokes questions about the interaction between contemporary systems of and perceived needs for protection and security and the resulting fears evoked by their existence.
